HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR PORTRAITS AND HEAD SHOTS in PHOENIX, AZ
Caroline – Assistant Director
Zambia continues to struggle in the battle against AIDs and poverty. Unfortunately, these struggles lead to a high rate of orphans who have nothing to eat and nowhere to go. Aside from that, these children suffer from abuses not uncommon to children in any other part of the world.
Joyce Chimbila (not pictured), a graduate of Northrise University, was called to serve these children and built a safe-haven for them in a township known as Mushilli. Her school is named Arising Life Ministries. ALM educates and feeds these children but they also serve the women of Mushilli and work with the adults of the community to end the abuse. Together with Northrise University, Joyce and her staff at Arising Life Ministries provide spiritual, physical, emotional and mental support to the orphans, youths and women who come to them.
These images represent the faces and the scenes of everyday life (during the rainy season) at ALM in Mushilli, a township in Ndola, Zambia. Though the faces appear stoic, hope is arising here. Joyce, Caroline, Rocky and the rest of the staff at Arising Life Ministries are making great strides in their community and making a big difference in the lives of the women and children they serve.
